Maryland HQL and NRA Basic Pistol (hybred/combined)

Students who successfully complete this course will have met the training requirement for the Maryland HQL along with earning their Certificate for completion of the NRA Basic Pistol course.  The NRA course is accepted by some states (Virginia is an example) as meeting their training requirement for resident and non-resident concealed carry license. The course cost includes the  NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook, a 150+ page hardbound book filled with useful information and full-color illustrations.  Students should expect to spend 8 hours to complete this class.  Course cost is $100.00 and includes all range fees and ammunition.

NRA Basic Pistol - ILT (Instructor Led Training)

NRA Basic Pistol - Blended Learning (Phase 2)

Students who successfully complete this course will have met the training requirement for the Maryland HQL along with earning their Certificate for completion of the NRA Basic Pistol course.  The NRA course is accepted by some states (Virginia is an example) as meeting their training requirement for resident and non-resident concealed carry license.   Students should expect to spend 5 hours to complete this class.  Course cost is $75.00 and includes all range fees and ammunition.

Maryland HQL

Students who successfully complete this course will have met the training requirement for the Maryland HQL.  Students should expect to spend 4 to 5 hours to complete this class.  Course cost is $75.00 and includes all range fees and ammunition.

Maryland Wear & Carry (Initial)

Students who successfully complete this course will have met the training requirement for the Maryland Wear & Carry Permit.  Per Maryland State law, this is required to be a minimum of 16 hours of instruction.  Students should expect to spend 2 full 8 hour days to complete this class.  Course cost is $250.00 and includes all range fees and ammunition.

Maryland Wear & Carry (Renewal)

 Students who successfully complete this course will have met the training requirements for the renewal of their current Maryland Wear & Carry Permit.  Per Maryland state law, this course is required to be a minimum of 8 hours of instruction.  This will be taught as a full-day course.  Course cost is $125.00 and includes all range fees and ammunition. 

NRA Basic Rifle

The NRA Basic Rifle course teaches students the safe operation, storage, and transportation of rifles.  Students will learn how to operate (load, unload, clear, maintain)  bolt, slide/pump, semi-automatic, and lever action rifles.  Students will have the opportunity to fire small-bore (22LR rimfire) and high-power (5.56/.223) rifles during the range session.  Course cost is $125.00 and includes range fees and ammunition.

NRA Range Safety Officer

Students that already possess a strong background in firearm safety and usage can become certified as Range Safety Officers in order to supervise shooting sports and range activities.  Students will be able to learn any unfamiliar handgun and long gun action types and will work in groups to learn how to effectively deliver a range safety briefing and conduct emergency response drills.  Cost is $90.00 and includes all training materials.

Private Lessons

Students who have already taken one of the above courses or who already own firearms can still benefit from additional training that focuses on improving existing skills and accuracy.  Cost is $25.00 per hour.  Student will be responsible for range fees ($15.00) and provide ammunition to be used or pay actual costs of ammunition if provided by instructor (example: 9mm FMJ Brass cased ammunition normally costs approximately $20.00 per 100 rounds).
